800 Numbers Help Fans Get Underway for Next Season of the Bachelor
Wayne, PA- Dec. 6, 2006 -- The full season of “The Bachelor, Rome” has concluded with a possible love connection between Prince Lorenzo and bachlorette Jennifer, but viewers and fans are well underway of choosing a new bachelor for next season, thanks to the use of an 800 number provided by Advanced Telecom Services.
Bob Bentz, co-owner of Advanced Telecom Services started in the business of 800 numbers in 1989, and believes the use of 800 numbers are useful for many reasons. “What’s great about [800 numbers] is they use an automated voice message system and they provide the ability to have a large number of phone calls coming in at one time. No company could ever have enough live operators for the type of call burst that network television provides”
Advanced Telecom Services has also provided 800 numbers to such charities as “Heal the World” which singer Michael Jackson promoted during half-time of Super Bowl XXVII in 1993. “We were able to effectively handle the call volume for the King of Pop during the most watched television show in America. We should be able to handle any type of 800 number television application if we could handle that,” Bentz said.
According to Nielsen/Net Ratings, 75 percent of the United States has internet access. That leaves 25 percent of the United States unaccounted for, if trying to vote by internet alone. This takes out the misconception that every home in America has internet access.
